The Use of Progressive Power Lenses According to Subject’s Refraction Profile: Poster

Originally presented at the 2025 ECVP Conference in Mainz, Germany

This poster investigates how individuals with different refractive profiles use the various zones of their progressive power lenses (PPLs) during digital tasks, based on real-time gaze tracking.

Conducted with experienced PPL wearers using both laptops and desktop displays, the study highlights how prescription type and addition level influence zone usage. Findings confirm that hyperopes and high-addition wearers rely more on lower zones, while myopes and low-addition wearers favor upper areas.

This research contributes to the ongoing development of more ergonomic, task-specific progressive lens designs.
