The technology that powers our photochromic lenses
Neochromes react to changing light conditions on a molecular level to lighten and darken according to changing light conditions.
How it works?
The photochromic molecules in our lenses dynamically change shape based on UV light exposure. When exposed to UV light, the molecules enter a closed-shape state, which causes the lenses to remain clear. When UV light is removed, the molecules morph into an open state to absorb the light. The lenses thus change as the molecules darken substantially under UV rays and remain clear when UV rays are absent.

US, Canada, and LATAM
In the US, Canada, and LATAM, both lens types are offered in Polycarbonate, and FT-28 (bifocal) polycarbonate. Neochromes is also now available with Camber Technology in polycarbonate hardcoat, and uncoated 1.60 and 1.67.
